Why contractors need dedicated airside cover
Working airside is not the same as a typical building site. Restricted movement areas, airport vehicles and strict pass systems mean liability risk sits with specialist wordings. Ordinary public liability often excludes airports — see airside vs public liability for the detail.
Airports and principal contractors commonly specify a minimum limit of indemnity on the contract. Our schemes start at £1 million and go up to £250 million so you can match that figure without guessing.
Typical contractor activities we help with
- Construction, civils and airside building works
- Plant operators and ground equipment contractors
- Specialist maintenance and engineering trades
- Surveyors, inspectors and project consultants with airside access
- Emergency or short-notice works for a limited pass window

What is usually included
Airside policies arranged through us typically include general public liability plus motor vehicle property damage and bodily injury exposures that matter when plant and vehicles operate on the apron. Exact cover, excesses and conditions are set out in your schedule once terms are agreed.
How contractors get terms
Fill in the online form with your airports, activities and the indemnity limit you need. An advisor reviews the risk and returns terms — there is no instant online purchase. When you accept and pay, we place cover and email documents so you can show proof for your airside pass.
