Cover that matches the length of the job

Airport work is often time-bound — a temporary pass, a maintenance outage, a seasonal contract. Airside Insurance 4u can help arrange short-term liability periods as well as annual policies.

When short-term airside cover makes sense

  • A temporary airside pass for a specific project
  • Maintenance windows measured in days or weeks
  • Seasonal or stand-in service for a concessionaire
  • One-off deliveries, surveys or inspections with airport access
  • Emergency works where you need proof of cover quickly

Policy periods can be short-term (including 24-hour) or annual — we help match the cover to the requirement rather than forcing a full-year policy when you only need a brief window.

What you still need to get right

Even on a short policy, airports care about the indemnity limit and that the wording is suitable for airside risk. Limits still run from £1 million to £250 million. Standard landside public liability often remains unsuitable — see airside vs public liability.

How to arrange short-term cover

Start the online quote form and note the dates and airports involved. An advisor reviews the risk and returns terms — there is no instant checkout. For urgent pass deadlines, call 01773 810072 (Mon–Fri, 8am–8pm) or request a callback.

Ongoing work?

If you regularly work airside as a contractor or concessionaire, an annual policy may be more practical. We can talk through both when we quote.

Here to help

Airside liability claims — damage on the apron, injury involving ground plant, or a demand from an airport authority — can escalate quickly. Even before a formal claim is lodged, the legal advisors we work with can help you understand what to gather and who to tell.

Our advisors walk you through preparation and how to protect yourself while the matter develops. See our step-by-step claims guide for what to do first — most policies require you to notify your insurer using the details on your schedule.
